Bluetooth® Phone Pairing in Your Nissan

As long as you’ve got a smartphone, you can connect to your car via Bluetooth® phone pairing, regardless of whether it’s an Apple iPhone or an Android.

  1. To get started, make sure Bluetooth® is enabled on your phone. The next step depends on whether your car has a navigation system —if it does, proceed to Step 2. If it doesn’t, skip to Step 3.
  2. For Nissan models w/ navigation: Press the Phone button on the audio system, then click “Connect”, then click “Connect New Device”
  3. For Nissan models w/o navigation:Press the Enter/Setting button on the audio system, then “Bluetooth®”, then “Add Phone”
  4. On your phone, navigate to settings, then Bluetooth®, and look for “MY-CAR” to connect to.
  5. At this point, a PIN should appear on your phone and your Nissan. Confirm that it’s the same number, and then you may accept the pairing request on your phone.

That’s it! Connecting your phone to your car using Nissan Bluetooth® is about as easy as pairing to any other Bluetooth® compatible device or service, but if you run into a problem, you’re welcome to contact us for assistance.

Troubleshooting Issues with Nissan Bluetooth®

If your phone failed to pair with your vehicle, here are some basic troubleshooting steps:

  • Are there any other Bluetooth® devices enabled nearby? If so, they may interfere with your phone and car’s ability to connect. Disable Bluetooth® on any nearby devices other than your phone and try again.
  • Hold your phone close to your Nissan model’s central screen to ensure optimal signal strength.
  • Does your phone need to be charged? Low battery could prevent Bluetooth® phone pairing, so take some time to charge it then try connecting to your Nissan again.
